ON SEPTEMBER 3rd, WESTPORT’S SCHOOL COMMITTEE VOTED TO MOVE ALL TRADITIONAL FALL SPORTS TO THE “FALL II” SEASON CREATED BY THE MIAA FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR DUE TO COVID-19. WE WILL WORK WITH OTHER LEAGUE & DISTRICT SCHOOLS TO CREATE THE BEST POSSIBLE ATHLETIC EXPERIENCE FOR OUR STUDENT-ATHLETES IN 2020-2021. UNDERSTAND THAT THIS DECISION WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO MAKE, BUT IT WAS MADE WITH SAFETY BEING OUR #1 PRIORITY.

WESTPORT WILL BEGIN A NEW CO-OP FOOTBALL PROGRAM WITH ATLANTIS CHARTER SCHOOL THIS YEAR, BUT FOOTBALL IN MASSACHUSETTS HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN PUSHED TO 2021. MORE INFORMATION ON FOOTBALL WILL COME OUT THIS FALL…

GO WILDCATS!!!
